报告摘要：In the past 8 years, there have been a lot of advances made in DNA Coding. Given the rapid increase in our need for data collection and analysis, storage capacity and endurance must be greatly improved. DNA Coding takes inspiration from how nature stores information: in the form of DNA, either in synthetic proteins or in living organisms. This talk looks into some of the models, focusing on the idea of profiles vectors. Bounds are established; some already come with efficient encoding and decoding algorithms while some are still open problems. Other related approaches and very recent developments will be briefly discussed.

报告人简介：Frederic Ezerman grew up in East Java Indonesia. He received the B.A. degree in philosophy and the B.Sc. degree in mathematics in 2005 and the M.Sc. degree in mathematics in 2007, all from Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines. In 2011 he obtained the Ph.D. degree in mathematics from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. After research fellowships at Laboratoire d'Information Quantique, Universite Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium and at the Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT), National University of Singapore, he returned in March 2014 to NTU where he is currently a Senior Research Fellow.
