报告题目一:Variational problems for Riemannian functionals and the Generalized Willmore conjecture

提要:In this talk, we present our research works about variational problems of Riemannian functionals on a compact Riemiannian manifold, which include the renormalized volume coefficients functional, Gauss-Bonnet-Chern curvature functional and the Weyl curvature functional. By use of an inequality between the Weyl curvature functional and the generalized Willmore functional, we give some discussions about the Generalized Willmore conjecture for compact hypersurfaces in a sphere.

报告题目二: Two new characterizations of the Clifford torus as aLagrangian self-shrinker

提要: Self-shrinkers play an important role in the study of the mean curvature flow. Not only they correspond to self-shrinking solutions to the mean curvature flow, but also they describe all possible Type I blow ups at a given singularity of the mean curvature flow. In this talk, we will show that the Clifford torus is the unique compact Lagrangian self-shrinker in 2-dimensional complex plane with

, which gives an a_rmative answer to Castro-Lerma's conjecture. This is joint work with Xianfeng Wang.
