Abstract:

In this talk, we present a series of geometrical nonlinear dynamics, the so called SD oscillators with quasi-negative stiffness of order. Utilizing negative stiffness properties of these systems. We also built up the corresponding vibration isolators with high order quasi-zero-stiffness of order to meet the requirements of engineering, which behave a high degenerated double-zero eigenvalue problems of high co-dimension bifurcations with multiple parameters. We demonstrate the chaos and the complicated bifurcations, the cups and the tangential saddles by showing the transition of the stabilities and also the distributions of the limit cycles for the geometrical systems. Finally we will conclude the talk by giving a mechanical suspensor which is the limit of the isolators when and is immune mechanical resonance discovered by Euler L. in 1750.

简介:

Professor Qingjie Cao, Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin 150001 China. He obtained his Ph.D degree in mechanical engineering in Tianjin University. Once he served the full professorship in Shandong University, Jinan China, research fellowships in Brunel University, University of Southampton, University of Liverpool and University of Aberdeen in the UK.  His research interests involve chaos and bifurcations in engineering systems. He proposed a series of machenical models, the so called SD oscillators, with a wide range applications in engineerings, aseries of QZS isolators and a mechanical suspensor to immune resonance. He published over a hundre of journal and conference research papers, monographs and patents with the financial supportings from NSFC projects and key project, Royal Society and Royal Society Engineering UK as well.
