报告人简介：

OnurGüntürkün, whose research interests include cognitive neuroscience, control cognitive control and the evolution of cognition, received the PhD degree from the University of Bochum, Germany in 1984. After completing his PhD research, he served as a Research Assistant at the Animal Psychology Laboratory University of Bochum, Germany in 1984–1987, a Research Assistant at the Human Information Processing Laboratory at the University of Konstanz in 1988–1992 and anAssociate Professor for Biopsychology at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germanyin 1993. Since 1997,he serves as a Full Professor for Biopsychology at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany.

He is Member of the German National Academy of Sciences, Member of the Deutsche Akademie der NaturforscherLeopoldina (the oldest Academy of Natural Scientists in the world),Member of the Wilhelm-Wundt Society and Honorary member of the German Psychological Society. He is also the winner of 2013 Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz-Award(Highest German science award given yearly to 10 scientists from all disciplines in Germany), 2006 Wilhelm-Wundt-Medal of German Psychological Society(Between 1956 and 2006 this award had been given to ten scientists only and heis the 11th),1995 Award of the Alfried Krupp zu Bohlen und Halbach Foundation for young scientists (560,000 $. Given yearly to the most exceptional young German scientist from the natural or engineering sciences),1993 Prize of the German Research Council according to the Gerhard Hess-Program to support highlyqualified young scientists (625,000 $. Given yearly to the ten best scientific proposals submitted by young scientists within Germany).

He is an associate editor of Frontiers in Comparative Psychology. He is an Editorial Board Member of Behavioural Processes, Brain, Behavior and Evolution, Frontiers in Behavioural Neuroscience, Frontiers in Physiology, Avian Physiology, andLaterality. He is also the reviewer of Science, Science Advances, Nature Communications, Nature Human Behaviour, Nature Reviews Neuroscience, Neuron, Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA, Trends in Cognitive Science, The Journal of Neuroscience, Current Biology, Neuroscience & Biobehavioral Reviews and so on.
