—从基因到功能

(第一轮通知)

人类基因组图谱的完成为21世纪生命科学的迅猛发展带来了新的契机。从基因到功能的研究渗透了生命科学的各个领域,而不同学科的相互交叉、相互交流、相互融合,更促进了功能基因组的研究以及医学、生物工程等相关专业的科技发展与进步。为了进一步推动生命科学领域不同学科的交流与合作,拟于2005年10月12~16日在郑州大学举办“第五届生命科学国际研讨会 -- 从基因到功能”(The Fifth International Symposium on Interdisciplinary Life Sciences:from Genome to Function)。会议将邀请国内外著名专家,就国际生命科学发展前沿及热点问题、国家重大项目研究成果以及未来发展进行广泛交流,欢迎国内外专家学者及学生参加交流与讨论。



一、会议主要内容和形式

会议以大会报告、专题报告、分组讨论、板报等形式,对生命科学不同领域特别是“基因与功能”、“干细胞生物学及其临床应用”、“肿瘤分子生物学”、“转基因技术应用”等方面的研究进展进行学术交流。会议期间还将组织青年优秀论文评选活动。

Plasticity of rat bone marrow-derived 5-hT-sensitive neurons: dedifferentiation and redifferentiation

Inducing cellular dedifferentiation has been proposed as a potential method for enhancing endogenous regeneration in mammals. We demonstrate that phenotypic and functional neurons derived from adult rat bone marrow stromal stem cells (MSCs) can be induced to undergo dedifferentiation, then proliferation and redifferentiation. In addition to morphological changes and expression of neuronal markers, functional differentiation was monitored by intracellular Ca2+ mobilization in response to a ubiquitous neurotransmitter, 5-hydroxytryptamin (5-HT) at different stages. The neurons derived from rMSCs were found to have increased 5-HT response . This 5-HT sensitivity could be reversed to basal level similar to that found in rMSCs when neurons, up to 3 days after neuronal induction, were induced to undergo dedifferentiation. Increase in 5-HT-induced Ca2+ mobilization was again observed when rMSCs derived from dedifferentiated neurons were induced to redifferentiate into neurons again. Variation in 5-HT1A receptor immunoreactivity was observed in stem cells, differentiated neurons, dedifferentiated neurons and redifferentiation neurons, consistent with their respective 5-HT sensitivity. These results suggest that adult bone marrow-derived 5-HT sensitive neurons are capable of dedifferentiation, then proliferation and redifferentiation, indicating their plasticity and potential use in treatment of neural degenerative diseases.

                                 古老中原 美丽河南

    河南省位于祖国中东部的中原腹地,因大部分地区在黄河以南,故名“河南”,简称“豫”,又有“中原”、“中州”之称。全省总面积约16.7万平方公里,人口近1亿,有汉、回、蒙古、满等民族。省会郑州。本省地势西高东低、平原山区面积各占一半。豫西、北、南三面有伏牛山、太行山、桐柏山和大别山四大山脉,豫西嵩山为五岳名山之一。

    河南是一个旅游资源大省,以拥有丰富的古文化旅游资源而著称。对于广大海内外旅游者,特别是对那些醉心探寻东方文化和华夏文明源流的旅游者来说,河南就如同一座浩瀚的天然历史博物馆,一本看得见、摸得着、进得去的中国历史文化教科书。蕴藏在这里的东方文化内涵丰富精深,风貌珍贵独特。

    河南在中华民族文化乃至东方文化的形成与发展史上有非常重要的地位。大量的史书记载和多年的考古发掘证明,至少在8000 年前,我们的祖先就在这里开创了人类文明的先河,从公元前21世纪中国第一个王朝——夏代到公元13世纪的金代,这3500年间,先后有20 多个朝代的200多位帝王建都或迁都于此,留下了难以尽数的名胜古迹。堪称“国宝”的国家级文物保护单位就有96处,地下文物居全国第一,馆藏文物130万件,约占全国的八分之一。中国八大古都中的洛阳、开封、安阳、郑州四大古都都在河南,还有国家级历史文化名城南阳、商丘、浚县等。郑州新郑黄帝故里、登封少林寺、巩义宋皇陵、洛阳龙门石窟、白马寺、偃师玄奘故里、开封宋都御街、包公祠、安阳殷墟、羑里城(《周易》发源地)、三门峡虢国墓地车马坑、函谷关、南阳武侯祠、张衡墓、医圣祠、商丘阏伯台(火的发源地)、燧人氏墓、花木兰祠、淮阳太昊陵等大量名胜古迹,都是既有丰厚的历史文化内涵又有观赏价值的著名旅游景观。省会郑州和洛阳、开封等古都,现在都有新的景点出现。河南博物院是1998年5月才建成启用的,不仅馆藏丰富,而且建筑宏伟独特,许多稀世文物珍品都在这里向旅游者展示。已经进入世界文化遗产行列的洛阳龙门石窟的周围环境也得到很大改善。开封清明上河园是宋代名画《清明上河图》的立体再现,旅游者置身其间,能够一览千年古都的繁华街市和风俗民情。
                              Travel to Henan

The name of the province Henan comes from its geographic situation. Henan means "the south of the river", including that Henan lies south of China's Yellow River. The province covers an area of over 167,000 square kilometers. It is populated by Han, Hui, Manchu, Mongolian and other ethnic groups totaling nearly 100,000,000 people.

Henan province is considered the cradle of Chinese civilization. This rich historic heritage has endowed Henan with numerous historic treasures, from primitive dwellings to earliest wheel thrown pottery. The remains of some of the earliest human settlements have been unearthed here, including the over 7000-year-old Peiligang Culture Site, the 6000-year-old Yangshao Culture Remains and the 5000-year-old Dahe Culture Remains. All these cultural remains have profound significance in the history of Chinese civilization.

Luoyang City has been the capitals of nine dynasties since the time of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty (770BC-221BC). There are many historical sites to be viewed in Luoyang as well as the opportunity to purchase replicas of the framed Tang three-glaze horses. Luoyang's Longmen Grottoes, famous for its grand treasure trove of Chinese Buddhist statues, are located 12km (7 miles) south of Luoyang. First sculpted and chiseled around 493 AD when the capital of the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534) was moved from Datong City to Luoyang, the grottoes of Luoyang house an awe-inspiring collection of sculpted Buddha and other religious subjects.

   One of the eight ancient capital cities in China's history, Luoyang City served sooner or later as the capital city with a history of 1592 years and for 13 different dynasties (the Xia, the Shang, the Eastern Zhou, the Eastern Han, the Cao Wei, the Western Jin, the Northern Wei, the Sui and the Tang, etc.); considered the miniature of the ancient Chinese history

The world-famous Longmen Grottoes are located 12km south of Luoyang. Here two mountains, namely, East Hill (Mt. Xiangshan) and West Hill (Mt. Longmen), confront each other with the Yi River traversing northward between them, just like a pair of Chinese gate towers. So during the Zhou and Qin dynasties, it was called "Yi Que" (Gate of Yi River). Later, when the Sui established its capital city in Luoyang, the palace gate was just facing Yi Que, hence the name "Longmen" which means "Dragon Gate".

Luoyang Ancient Tombs Museum is located on Mang Hill (where an ancient city, Mang Village was located) in the northern suburb of the Luoyang city. In China's long history, thirteen dynasties had their capital established in Luoyang. Many imperial burial tombs were built in the city, especially near the Mang Hill. Tombs excavated here proved to be the imperial burial sites of Eastern Han emperors and the emperors of the Western Jin and Northern Wei dynasties. In 1984, the government built a museum at the site which was opened to tourists in 1987.

Shaolin Temple, founded in AD 496 during the Northern Wei dynasty, was built in honor of an Indian monk called Bodhidharma (known to the Chinese as Da Mo), founder of the Mahayana sect of Buddhism or more popularly known as Chinese Chan (or Zen) Buddhism. This temple is therefore regarded as the birthplace of Chinese Buddhism.

Kaifeng City, one of the ancient capitals, also boasts the following buildings worthy of a visit: Iron Pagoda (Tie Ta) of the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), Dragon Pavilion (Long Ting) - site of imperial palace of the Song and Jin dynasties - and the 1400-year-old Xiangguo Temple which is one of the most famous Buddhist temples in China. Also on view in Kaifeng are ruins of the Shang Dynasty, an important part of human cultural and historic heritage. The Shang Dynasty Ruins, also known as the "Yin Ruins", are famous because of the unique style of the large palace and its grand mausoleums, in which emperors of the Shang Dynasty are buried. The bronze vessels of the Shang Dynasty, which were both finely decorated and popularly used by the citizens of the Shang Dynasty, are well-known at home and abroad.
