Brief Introduction

The School of Electrical Engineering in Zhengzhou University has a history of over 40 years .The school was founded on cornbining the former The School of Electrical Information in Zhengzhou Industry University with the former Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department of Zhengzhou University.
    Currently , the school has 3 bachelor's degree programs: Electrical Engineering and its Automation, Automation and Biology Medical Engineering. Besides, it has 6 master's degree programs: Power System and its Automation, Control Theory and control Engineering, Test Technology and Automation Device, Electrical Engineering Theory and its New Technology, Pattern Recognition and Intelligent System,  Power Electronics and Electric drive.
    With solid overall strength of teaching and expanding campus extent , the college has 111 master's degree candidates, 1978 bachelor's degree undergraduates through NMET, 173 adult undergraduates, and a total number of 95 faculty and staff members, among which 8 are professors, 24 are associate professors and 52 are lecturers. Among faculty members, 9 have received doctor's degree , and 76 master's degree.
    The college has a key construction subject of nation's "211 Project", 6 key construction labs of nation's "211 Project" , one first-level key constriction subject of Henan province and one Engineering Technology Research Centre of Henan province , And it has stronger ability of scientific research and development .
    Insisting on putting subject construction in the first place during a long period and concentrating cultivating high quality geniuses , the college keeps pace with the time ,breaks new ground and has received outstanding achievement in teaching , scientific research and management.

History of The School

The School of Electrical Engineering in Zhengzhou University was founded in February 1959,and then some famous professors from TianJin University and Tsinghua University were arranged to aid the school. 61  students majored in power station, power grid and Electricity Translating were enrolled in the same year. In August 1963, the ZhengZhou Industrial College was founded.
    Then the department was renamed as The School of Electrical Information , When The ZhengZhou University was established  in 2000, It was formed several other majors. At present, the school has 3 bachelor's degree programs: Electrical Engineering and its Automation, Automation and Biology Medical Engineering. Besides, it has 6 master's degree programs: Power System and its Automation, Control Theory and Control Engineering, Test Technology and Automation Device, Electrical Engineering Theory and its New Technology, Pattern Recognition and Intelligent System,  Power Electronics and Electric Drive.
    Since  its foundation in 1959,over 6500  students have graduated from the school, many of them have become the leaders of some departments.
