On 27th November, the Chinese Academy of Engineering published the list of its newly elected academicians. Our Dean Professor Nicholas Robert Lemoine (Nick Lemoine) was elected as a foreign academician which changes the record of no foreign academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering at out university. There are 18 foreign experts are elected as foreign Academicians this time.
Academician is the highest academic title in China, and elected members are considered to have made significant and creative achievements and contributions in the fields of engineering and technological sciences.
Nick’s election is in recognition of his work on engineering new therapies for cancer in the Sino-British Center for Molecular Oncology (established as a joint venture between QMUL and Zhengzhou University in 2006) and his creation of the Academy of Medical Sciences.
