On 18th August, the International Symposium on Esophageal Cancer Prevention and Treatment was held at AMS-ZZU. The Symposium was hosted by AMS-ZZU with Dean Nick Lemoine as the Chair. Mr. Wang Song, Deputy Head of Department of Cultural and Educational Expert of SAFEA, Mr. Xu Zongqin, Director General of Henan Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs, Vice President Liu Guoji of ZZU were invited to attend the Opening Ceremony. Experts from Queen Mary University of London, King’s College London, Southampton University , University of Houston, Baylor College of Medicine, Rutgers University, Clinical Laboratory of Beijing Tumor Hospital and Tumor Academy of Peking University, General Hospital of PLA gave talks on their respective fields to an audience of participants including academics, clinicians and students of ZZU and others.
14 guest speakers shared their work in cancer pathogenesis, new therapeutics, early prevention and diagnosis followed by discussions of new development in the field. The annual symposium promotes the development in cancer prevention and treatment at AMS-ZZU, increases AMS-ZZU’s global participation in the field and attracts more international experts to work for AMS-ZZU.
Opening remark from Vice President Liu Guoji
Dean Nick Lemoine chaired the symposium
