About the center

The Academy of Medical Sciences (AMS), a medical research center of the Zhengzhou University, was newly established for linking basic science with clinical medicine and performing first-class biomedical research. The Center for Infection, Inflammation & Immunity (CIII) is one of the 6 multidisciplinary research centers at AMS. Its major task is to understand the role of infection, inflammation and immunity in cancer development and cancer therapeutic resistance. Currently, the center CIII is actively recruiting excellent young scientists (at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professors) for meeting the challenge in the field of cancer research.

Requirements

Senior Professor (1-2 positions, under the age of 55):

We are seeking enterprising candidates who have been working on the study of tumor microenvironment. Candidates with great academic attainments in Nanomaterials, Bioinformatics or Medical Imaging were preferred to retain. Candidates shall have a strong research background in infection, inflammation & immunity field and have published the high impact papers in international journals as the first author or corresponding author. Candidates shall be academically knowledgeable, with innovative and strategic thinking, able to lead the discipline to catch up with or keep pace with the international level, enjoy strong ability in leadership and coordination, able to lead the academic team to make research breakthrough.

Professor (2 positions, under the age of 45):

Candidates shall have a M.D. and/or Ph.D in Medicine, Biology, Chemistry or a related field.

Doctorate degree from overseas well-known universities shall be accompanied with more than three-year working experience abroad. Doctorate degree obtained in China shall engage in teaching or research abroad for over 5 years or held official research position in overseas well-known universities, research institutes or well-known research and development institutions before returning China. Candidates shall be outstanding among their peers in the field concerned and have potentials to become academic pioneers in the field. Candidates of Thousand Talent Program for Young Outstanding Scientists or researchers supported by the program of National Natural Science Funds for Outstanding Young Scholar were preferred. Candidates shall publish the high impact papers in international journals as the first author or corresponding author in the field of Nanomaterials, Proteomics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics or Medical Imaging.

Associate Professor (4 positions, under the age of 40):

Candidates shall have a M.D. and/or Ph.D in Medicine, Biology, Chemistry or a related field, and with 2-3 years postdoctoral or working experience. Candidates shall also publish the high impact papers in international journals as the first author or corresponding author in Infection, Inflammation, Immunity or a related field, or be supported by any program of National Natural Science Foundation of China. Candidates shall have strong records and evidence of their potential for development of an independent, cutting edge research program, and with strong analytical ability to assist with supervising Ph.D students and other researchers.

Assistant Professor (4-8 positions, under the age of 35) :

Candidates shall have a M.D. and/or Ph.D in Medicine, Biology, Chemistry or a related field, and publish the high impact papers in international journals as the first author or corresponding author in Infection, Inflammation, Immunity or a related field. We are looking for enthusiastic, highly self-motivated candidates with strong laboratory skills and analytical ability to assist with supervising Ph.D students and other researchers.

Post-doc (4-6 positions):

Candidates shall have a M.D. and/or Ph.D in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Nanomaterials, Proteomics, Bioinformatics or Medical Imaging or a related field, and have publications in peer reviewed SCI journals.
