We wish to extend our sincere appreciation for an exceptional and inspiring semester. We are deeply grateful for your engaged participation in lectures, the dynamic contributions you made within the studio environment, and the intellectual curiosity demonstrated throughout our discussions and critiques.
As you progress in your scholarly and professional pursuits, we earnestly encourage you to sustain your rigorous work ethic, pursue knowledge with depth, and approach complexities with a critical and questioning mind. The discipline of design is intrinsically iterative and requires lifelong learning; each site analysis, each conceptual sketch, and each resolved challenge constitutes an essential increment in the cultivation of your expertise. We urge you to continue building conscientiously upon the robust groundwork established this term.
We convey our very best wishes for your continued success and development on the path that lies ahead.

Kia ora koutou students. It was my privilege to be your studio instructor this semester. Our story—like most—began with confusion. Both you and I had to rethink how we approach architecture.
I was continually impressed by your openness to seeing architecture as something far more than buildings: as a discipline that shapes people’s lives, experiences, and emotions. You grew tremendously as designers, and it was a real pleasure to witness that growth firsthand. From strengthening your drawings, to deepening your understanding of site, to pushing yourselves to develop innovative spatial solutions, your progress was clear and inspiring.
As you continue your education, keep caring, keep challenging conventions, and keep learning about space and form. And never forget that architecture is ultimately for people—and for building a better society.
(Kia ora koutou),
