In order to promote the development of the AMS and the International Demonstration Institute, Professor Nick Lemoine, Dean of AMS, led a delegation consisting of Vice Dean Zhang Yu’an to visit School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology (SPST) of Tianjin University on 5th May. Professor Jay Siegel, Dean of the SPST and Ms. Feng Cuiling, Secretary of the CPC SPST held an official meeting with Dean Nick Lemoine and accompanied him for a laboratory tour.
In the meeting, Professor Jay Siegel, Dean of SPST and his executive team gave a detailed introduction of SPST in development, management, discipline construction, talent training, research and internationalization. Dean Nick Lemoine shared with SPST the vision and structure of the AMS and progress made in talent recruitment and research. An in-depth discussion on talent introduction, management and talent training was carried out afterward. Both Dean Nick Lemoine and Dean Jay Siegel are willing to strengthen exchange and cooperation between the two schools to learn from each other and promote mutual development.
The School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology (SPST) of Tianjin University is among the first four universities included as ‘International Demonstration Institutes’. Dean Jay Siegel is included in the ‘National Thousand Talent Plan’. Over the last few years, SPST has made great progress in management, talent introduction, talent training and research and is currently in a leading position nationally.
