教育背景:

1960年获英属哥伦比亚大学一级荣誉理学学位

1963年获英属哥伦比亚大学博士学位

工作经历:

1963至1965年获美国太空署研究计划资助,在美国匹兹堡大学晶体学系任副研究员,随后赴加拿大西安大略大学任化学系副教授。

1969年加入香港中文大学,历任化学系系主任、理学院院长、理工研究所所长、伟伦研究讲座教授。

2001年当选为中国科学院院士。

2008年6月受聘郑州大学化学与分子工程学院荣誉教授、兼职博士生导师。

2016年8月受聘郑州大学无机化学学科首席科学家。
